I bought this primarily as a way of using my phone hands free in the car. I have used other products before and found it difficult to get enough volume out of them to be clearly heard whilst driving. The idea of linking the phone to the car radio via FM transmitter was new to me but sounded like a good solution. I have just plugged this into my car. It linked quickly and easily to my phone with Bluetooth. It was easy to tune into my cars FM radio. Looks good (no wires). First I tried making a call. You make a call using the phone handset as normal and it then puts the audio through the car radio speakers. The sound was very clear and can be made as loud as you want using the radio volume control. I then had someone phone me to test call receive. The phone rings as normal and the unit let's out some beeps. You can answer the call either using the phone or by pushing the big green button on the front of the unit. Again everything worked perfectly first time. I have yet to use this in a real situation whilst driving, but for the money this looks like an excellent solution. I also tested the music playback by playing a track via Bluetooth from my phone music player. This also worked perfectly. I am very impressed with this product. The only thing preventing me giving it 5 stars is the flexible mount is not actually very flexible and is difficult to adjust. (Posted on 05/02/2015)

Having looked around for an FM transmitter, I happened upon this one. While it is not the cheapest unit, previous reviews persuaded me to give it a go and I wasn't disappointed. As soon as it was plugged in to my cigar lighter socket and turned my radio on I found the transmitted frequency very quickly and I didn't have to adjust it either. With the Bluetooth, as soon as my made my phone visible to Bluetooth it connected straight away with no need to input any code. I connected my phone to the unit, pressed play and expected a bit of hiss as, well, it is FM but no, the output was crystal clear, no hiss-nothing but music which I am very happy about. The screen is quite small but I had no real need to look at it once set up. My Cigar lighter socket is next to my gear lever so I kept bumping the unit whenever I changed into fourth gear so I will have to get an extended adaptor to sort that minor problem out. I haven't used the remote as yet. The only 'real' issue I had with the transmitter was when I switched the ignition off and left the car. The transmitter didn't always reconnect to the phone automatically so I had to make the phones Bluetooth visible again which took all of 30 seconds. A sturdy unit that doesn't feel plasticky. Easy to set up. Great sound. Great value (Posted on 05/02/2015)

  3. Does everything it claims Review by Ian Baxter

This seems to be a good sturdy product, with solid and easy to hit buttons. The sound quality is very good from micro SD card or via bluetooth from the phone. All-in-all I'm pleased with my purchase. A couple of minor niggles. It doesn't mute the audio from an MP3 player attached to the aux socket, so if a phone call comes in you have to scramble for the player's pause button. It does mute audio from SD/USB or bluetooth. Also, although it will cope with folders on the micro SD card, it's very tricky to navigate to a new folder, especially if you are driving along. If you were going on a longer journey you'd be better setting up a long playlist beforehand. I've tried it with a SDHC 8GB card which worked fine. Also, just be aware that the screen shown in the first photo of the Amazon listing has been photo-shopped on. The real screen is a smaller rectangle, as shown in the fifth photo. It's adequate though and actually shows a lot of info. The song name also appears on the radio screen, if it has RDS. The remote control is OK, and you can actually dial a phone number using the keypad, and it read out the numbers as you press them. (Posted on 05/02/2015)

  4. Works Perfect - Great Value for Money! Review by eddie kew

Having tried a few of these cheapo Wireless FM transmitters I was a bit wary of buying another. They tended to work fine while stationary but as soon as the car moved off the music would go through varying degrees of unacceptable listening pleasure. However the option of replacing my cars standard Head Unit was going to cost well in excess of £100 whilst try and keep the steering wheel controls as well. So I opted to try this and much to my delight it works great. Credit to the manufacturer for getting the technology and design right where others have failed miserably!! The Bluetooth connected to my Samsung Note with ease and played my phones music through the car stereo. The sound quality was very good and only the slightest of hiss can be heard on quiet sections or in the gaps between songs. Worth checking the best tuned station for results, but I found the lower FM setting the unit defaulted to be the best for me @ 87.5Mhz. I have checked the Micro SD slot and USB input to play music from and all worked fine, even displaying the tracks mp3 tag info onto my standard head unit display. I preferred the micro SD as the USB tends to stick out a bit too far. However, the USB option should be handy for keeping the phone charged although I have not tried that yet. The remote control feels a little cheap but seems to work well enough and especially useful is the 'Folder' button as I tend to have lots of these on my storage. The folder button allows you to skip to the next directory on the storage device. I have not tried making or answering calls yet through Bluetooth so cannot comment on the quality. I have no friends.
